summer...slash mccall list

with all this talk about springtime it reminded me that summer is coming and so i decided to make a why i love summer list. because there are alot of reasons i love summer. here goes.

MCCALL. oh my heck i love summer because we get to go to mccall and there are so many reasons why i love mccall in the summer. i mean don't get me wrong mccall in the winter is pretty great, but in the summer time it is wonderful. gosh i am going to have to make a list of why i love mccall within my list of why i love summer. this is getting complicated.

-i love the farmer family reunions. i look forward to them all year. i love getting to see all my cousins and the fun activities that are always planned for the masses of us. i love game night at uncle jim and warrens house when all of the kids my age always play phase ten, scum, or spoons. i love aunt peggy's warm carmel corn that she makes for us those late nights. i love the games and how all of my uncles (and all people uncle-age...i never know the relations for sure) get all into it and are super competitive. i love when we take turns on our cousins boats wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or tubing. i love just sitting in the sun with all my aunts and girl cousins just chatting about what has been going on in our lives.-i love being tan which of course goes along with mccall since the majority of the time there we are outside getting even more freckles and even darker skin.-i love hanging out with the cousins. sometimes we make late night runs to my fathers place for some delicious milkshakes. sometimes we plan on jumping in the lake late at night (but it rarely happens). we usually stay up late in the anderson cabin chatting or laughing in the case of some cousins. we take alot of pictures and have so much fun.

-i love when my family goes up to mccall for a ton of the summer but we never get tired of it. i love when we have dinner down on the beach and are playing down there till 9. i love when we get donuts in the morning even if it is really annoying that we have to carry a load down to the beach to reserve our spot when we are half delirious cuz we just woke up. i love listening to rascall flatts on the dock and suntanning. i love when all of us kids decide that we are going to jump in together and it takes us like 10 minutes to finally jump in.
-i love the little kids swimsuit lines when they are all getting in the bath after the day at the beach and they are all super tan and then super white where there swimsuits were. along with this one i love being all clean and putting lotion on our dry skin. then putting our pjs on and squishing in a bed with some more kids awaiting the next day at the beach.
-i love "the garden" that we always go visit on sundays. i love how we always take the same pictures at the same places (the whole family in a line on the bridge, joslin and sydney in those big wicker chairs). i love looking at the beautiful flowers while we walk around in our church clothes.-i love trying to coerce mom and dad to take us to icecream alley-i love the memories that are in mccall. so many fun times with cousins playing on the beach. so many memories from when i was little and learning how to ski, or peeking through the curtains from my bed on the deck trying to watch the adults and the "big kids" play games late at night.

so i decided this is going to be a "why i love mccall" list instead because that list got to big. and i want to go to bed. so coming up next will be a "why i love going to california" list...since that is obviously a huge part of my summer that i love! until next time.
