easter time.

its easter! yay...so fun! so we were going to dye eggs. but then jill and sara were like "i don't like eggs." and rachel said "i don't eat eggs." so i am like, am i going to have to dye easter eggs by myself?! but just then we invited some girls from downstairs and rachel actually decided to dye eggs with me! SO we made like 12 different colors, and still had extra dye tablets (i just decided to put two in a few so they were EXTRA colorful.) then we set off to dye some eggs! it was alot of fun, i am super glad we decided to be festive and dye the eggs, even if i should have been studying for an exam.

scary.

did you KNOW that those little plastic tube like things that come in package are not just to set the egg on?! my family just discovered this, maybe you already know. so those little plastic things, what you do it put the egg inside, then either put it in boiling water or blowdry it, as demonstrated by rachel the lovely model. then the plastic thing shrinks on to the egg! ah it is neat.

true, my thirteen eggs aren't much, especially compared to my family's NINETY NINE eggs that they dyed at home, but i like them. i really like the purple with pink striped one in the bottom left corner! so sweet.
okay how cute is this little vase arrangement, right?! the daffodils are SO cheap at campus craft (only 5.99 for ten!) so i had to buy them for someone. for easter day i am going over to some old family friends (the watsons) house and so i decided to bring along this little treat! and while i wait to go visit them it is decorating our kitchen, temporarily. its beautiful. oohh and i put it in the vase and arranged it myself! i know it doesn't look hard, and it wasn't, but i have never done a vase before. at work that is the florists job. so it was a first.
okay look at this cute basket! some of the girls in my apt and some of our fhe boys and us did an easter basket exchange...we all drew names and then bought and filled a easter basket for our person. mine is even CUTER than you see right here on the picture because there is a cute balloon tied to it with little easter bunnies on a easter egg hunt. its great. so ya i had to take a picture. and i KNOW both of these have the same background (my bed) but when i am trying to take a cute picture of something, the cider block walls and nasty black/olive green/white/maroon speckled carpet don't exactly help out.

and my family totally sent me a easter package that i got the other day! it was great it was just like the easter basket i would have gotten at home, but in a giant bag. i swear they probably used like 8 packages of the plastic grass to fill up the thing. thanks! :)

So fun! Your eggs are so bright! We missed you and your creativity! So glad you were able to spend the day at the Watson's! They are so awesome! Love you! We've collected all the rejected Peeps here at home as apparently you are the only Peeps lover here (and me!), heeello what is Easter without Peeps, even if they aren't liked. See you soon.

Love the tablecloth! I haven't ever used a blowdryer either, thanks for sharing. I'm glad you had somewhere to go for the holiday!
