thanksgiving vacation part II

wednesday night was when the farrars were supposed to be coming. car #1 was supposed to come around 1 or 2 am and car #2 with monica was supposed to come at like 4 or something. i decided that sorry monica, as much as i love you there was no way that i was going to stay up that late. so i had just layed down in my bed when monica came upstairs and jumped on me! they were totally joking the whole time and there were driving together! so that was fun we hurried and said hi to everyone and then hopped into bed. into a squished bed. jos, monica, and i all slept together on my bed and we actually did good squishing!

thursday was the busy day! we had delicious pumpkin chocolate chip waffles for breakfast by to start out the day! then we had a few different activities. my mom had a cute little thing that we do every year, i think called a pilgrim mix or something? it makes a trail mix type thing and each of the ingredients represent something for thanksgiving. then we all started to make our thankful turkeys! it was fun we taped them all over the window and EVERYONE had to make one, no exceptions. hannah made sure of that.

then we started to cook! my job was to make the pumpkin roll. it turned out okay, i just decided that i like when the cake part of it is thinner. ill work on that for next time!

emma and our cousin mary were in charge of the soo good rolls, steph and rob did the mashed potatoes, alicia was the head cook and she did the turkey! i don't remember the other various assignments, just that it was super busy in that kitchen!

steph and rob making the mashed potatoes:

the actual feast was wonderful, i had plenty of my favorite: mashed potatoes and gravy! that is basically the bulk of my meal; i just love my mashed potatoes! another thing that i had plenty of was olives. i think this is mostly a farmer thing, because we love olives. so another dish for our meal is olives. alicia and i went shopping for this and we got about 8 cans of olives that we dumped into a big bowl for our dinner! mmm delicious.

hannah sure loved that turkey! ha she would make that face. love it!

jos and emma posing for the camera before our feast!

a nice shot of our dinner...with someones hand.
we had 27 people there for the dinner. we counted!
there was my family: 12

lindsey and andrew: 2
hamms: 4
total: 27!
