thanksgiving break part I

when we first got home the door was all decorated and fun, there were signs welcoming us home all over! it made me happy. there were signs that said "i love kaitlin, you get your room back!", "finally my bff returns, about time!" and "she's back, 'look out' we missed you!" they made me so happy, i kept some of them and hung them on my wall and door!

we (andrew, alicia, rebecca and i) then decided that we should sneak attack them since apparently no one noticed that we were there yet, so we closed the doors on the car really quietly and crept up and then BURST into the door and yelled! ah it was SO great all the kids came running up, or down, and i got to see everyone! man i like them.

i got a tour of the updates in the house:
-joslin redecorated her room, new walls (orange) and new things hung up. oh it is so cute, and she is done with it all already! good work.
-kade and claire have new beds! they are twin beds, which was quite an upgrade for them since kade used to have a little car bed and claire had a cute little bed. they were excited about that!
-kade was sure to show me my room that jami has taken over. it was cute.

the next morning we had crepes of course! it was fun to go to church and see everyone again. joslin and i had slept together on my old bed so that was fun to talk.

other important events of the week before the farrars got there...
-i went and brought the girls lunch one day. i had the order given to me for what they all wanted and then went and got them good food. after i brought them lunch i went and talked to some of the teachers who i used to have, that was fun, but also weird!
-jos and i colored our hair of course as noted by the other blog.
-i saw my friend samuel lee henderson! it was way fun to see him, we tried to figure out the last time we saw each other and it was over a year ago! he came with me to the triplets game in columbia.
-i went to part of hannah's basketball game and watched her rock it! she did awesome! that same night was the triplets game and so i was going back and forth between columbia and fruitland trying to be able to watch them all! i started out by driving to columbia (40 min) to see karli play in part of the freshman game. she did super good, she played the WHOLE time and was a leader on the team. go kar! THEN i rushed back to see the last quarter of hannah's game. after that was over we took her and went back to columbia to watch all of the triplets play in the j.v. game! we saw like the last half. whew that was alot of driving! the triplets are so fun to watch...it is so cool that they are freshmen and play on jv! they do great. at the game i also got to see my old coaches mr. carter and lisa. i loved talking to them, they are great people.
-we went and had a poker night at my cousins joey and tiffany's house. haha what a fun night! the boys we used to hang out with from nyssa all came...well not all of them, but landon t, and one of t's friends. those boys are so funny they crack me up. i learned how to play poker although i am awful at it. some of tiffany and joey's friends were there with their kids also so we had a good group. the little girl who was there was so funny, it was getting kind of late so she was tired and being so silly! she was cute.
-i went to kade's thanksgiving feast. this basically consisted of my mom and i standing there and watching him eat food. haha those little kids were cute though.
-i got a new phone! this is GREAT new and also kind of annoying. let me explain myself. obviously the good part is that i can talk to people on the phone and actually hear them. the annoying part is that i lost all of my pictures, all of my texts that were saved, and my ring tones. and all of the things i had put into the calendar. ugh. i had alot of good pictures on there. and i like 3 days before i broke my phone i had bought a ring tone. and now its gone. so thats annoying. BUT my phone works so i am okay with it!
-i got to do the girl's hair in the mornings! this is one of my favorite things to do, i love doing peoples' hair and i love making my sisters and brothers cute so its perfect! although i was half asleep while doing some of their hair because it was at 6:30 before their school i still loved it!
-jossy and i went to go to walmart and we decided to go to taco bell before hand BECAUSE i realized a little while ago that they had these delicious things called fiesta ptoatoes. okay so for everyone who hasn't tried them, go get them! order them with the cheese and sour cream on the side of course because otherwise they are soggy. haha so we ordered some fiesta potatoes and some nachoe, because their nachos supreme is my other new favorite thing and we were driving over to walmart. this is when the funniest thing of the night happened. we were driving down the road and i said to joslin "i am kind of excited to eat these nachos," because i was. right then joslin went to grab the nachos and unfortunately grabbed the top plastic part as opposed to the bottom part which the nachos were sitting in and they definitely fell ALL OVER HER LEG. HA it was so funny, i was driving so couldn't do anything and so she was freaking out. we pulled into the parking lot and sat for like fifteen minutes with her leg out the door scraping the nachos and toppings out of the car onto the ground. haha oh man good times. then when we were in walmart we went into the shoe section and got some super cute shoes and this older lady got on the intercom and gave a really funny announcement. well the words weren't funny, she just wasn't very well prepared and so it sounded SO funny. then like 5 seconds after she hung up after giving that announcement she got right back on the intercom again and gave some random announcement about how it was safety time and make sure all kids were sitting in their seats. not five minutes later she got on again and made another announcement about a sale going on. oh man she was so funny, jos and i were laughing so hard sitting there in the shoe isle, a lady down the way thought we were a little weird. when we were getting ready to check out we decided to go check out that sale that the lady on the intercom was talking about and don't worry we got some really cute shoes for like 2 dollars each! we got some way cute shoes for emma, 1.50! we got a bunch of other ones, i didn't know who they would fit but i was sure they would fit someone! i got some way cute pointy red heels for 2.50! that was fun. jos also got a really cute plaque thing for her wall that looks great in her new room for only like 3 dollars.
