1. i really like cheerios. i just recently remembered this fact when i was home for thanksgiving and my little cousin janessa had some cheerios for her church snack. i am not going to lie i took a few. it was then that i discovered my long lost love for the delicious little snack, and i went and bought a box a few weeks ago. and then i bought another box this week. they are addicting. try it. they are the perfect little snack when you are hungry! another random food that i love is mushrooms. i could eat mushrooms all day, just dip them in a little bit of ranch and call it good! i love everything about mushrooms, i love how they are sorta squishy and have a weird consistency, i love the taste of them! mmm sounds delicious to me!
2. i love playing the piano. i used to hate it when i was younger...i remember crying all the time because my mom was making me practice! now i love it, i love when i get a chance to run to the piano and play, i wish i was better. i love piano music as well, as in listening to it. i love love jon mclaughlin and partly because of that, he plays the piano BEAUTIFULLY with his singing.
3. i am really bad at making quick decisions. this goes for anything, buying something, or leaving somewhere, i really don't like to be rushed. if i have to go somewhere i really prefer to have time to get ready, it like stresses me out to have to decide if i am going and then get ready when i don't have much time! with buying things also i have serious issues. i can't just find something i like and then buy it, or i rarely can. often when i go shopping i don't end up buying anything, or if i buy it i return it later because i can't figure out if i really want it. along with the getting ready part, i am really bad at choosing outfits. i like to have someones approval, and if they tell me it looks cute then i feel alot more brave about wearing it! when i went home for thanksgiving i knew i was going to see monica who i totally trust to tell me what looks good so i brought SO many clothes just for the purpose of me trying them on for her! i have so many things in my closet that i have bought and are still brand new with the tags because i can't figure out how to wear them. that doesn't mean i don't like them, because i certainly do. i just don't know what to wear it with, or how to pull it off. i am not brave in that area.
4. i am kind of a perfectionist. i hate when things aren't perfect, or when i feel like i could have done something better. i am not someone who can just miss class or not turn in a paper on time and feel okay with it, i don't feel good when i do that! this goes with how clean things are also, i inherited this one from my mother, and it seriously stresses me out when the place that i live in is messy or dirty. my room is usually pretty clean, but this past week it was a mess, just because i had a small pile of things from when i unpacked that i couldn't figure out what to do with. FINALLY this weekend i finished it, and my room is clean again! i feel so much better!
5. the other day i learned that my family made up alot of names for things that we did, or ate. i mean i knew that we made up some words, for instance, "honey." that was a word that we used when we would play house when we were little, it was basically the youngest kid. the baby. i don't know where that word came from, but we always used it! so i knew that we made that word up. but i recently learned that we made up other names. one of these was what i always called "crumbly rolls." i found out that first of all they aren't rolls at all. rather they are biscuits. i never even knew that there was a difference in biscuits and rolls, but turns out there is. what i called crumbly rolls my entire life are actually baking soda biscuits. then when i was making "gooey cake" the other day i was thinking to myself, this probably isn't really the name of this cake. sure enough my roommate knew it by a different name. then there are chicken croissants as we always called them my roommate called them something different. i feel like i lived my childhood as a lie.
okay so i am just joking, but isn't that funny how different things that you thought were normal in your family turn out they aren't? one time a friend was telling me how they make grilled cheese. they make it in the oven! maybe thats how some of you do it. i always made it on the stove. even spaghetti, the simplest of meals can be made in many different ways. thats one thing that is sort of fun how we do roommate dinners in our apt, i get to eat meals that my family always made, but with a little bit of a twist.
6. i really love decorating. it was so so fun when i got here to my apt and i got to start over in my new room and decorate it how i wanted! i love making the place that i live and spend the majority of my time in look really great. pictures are such a fun way to decorate, even if you aren't creative it is easy to print off a ton of cute pictures with fun memories in them and hang them all over your room. look at this darling room, its monicas new room that she just decorated, i love it! i love when its really busy and you can just spend alot of time looking at it and finding other small things that you didn't notice before.
7. (can i just do another one real quick? i just remembered it and i didn't want to erase another one i already did) okay. i do not like dancing. not at all. its not that i just have to be in the right mood to dance, i don't get those moods. i don't recall that i have ever loved dancing, and i don't think that i ever will. well i guess i used to love dancing, but like the kind on a team. i did ballet when i was younger and then i did a hiphop team that i loved. but i don't like the kind where you have to pick your dance moves yourself. maybe this is because i am not brave at this, i don't know, but i think dancing is awkward, so why would i want to do it when i have a billion other things that i could do with my time? when i was in highschool i went to most of the dances, but that wasn't because i loved the dancing part. i always dreaded that part. but i loved the part where i got to get all dressed up and put on a fancy dress and lots of sparkles, jewelry, and makeup. that part is fun. now apparently some people think that everyone else in the world loves dancing, and someone asked me once what i would do at my wedding if i didn't have dancing. have you ever heard that there are weddings without dancing? because there are. they exist.
