i sincerely apologize.
here is what i've been up to.

utah shakespeare in the park
i only heard about this through a blog i read and the darling meg fee mentioned that she would be acting in this series of plays. for a month or so there were a few different times that they showed this play, for free i might add, in various parks in the provo area. how fun! our good friend jake came along and we had a fun night with a small crowd just watching some romeo and juliet. one thing we weren't QUITE prepared for was how cold it gets when it gets dark. i was in a skirt. but we all shared out blanket and survived. oh AND i went and talked to meg after the play was over, she was just as darling in real life as she is on her blog.
rooftop concert.
nik day and benton paul.
put on by our dear friend cjane.
we're not real life friends, but wouldn't that be fun?
you guys better be reading her blog, it's hilarious.
good friends. good music. perfect weather. lovely night.
moving wall in spanish fork
okay this was great.
you know the actual vietnam memorial in DC? turns out they have a smaller version of that that travels around the US. it is half the size and every week it moves to a new city. we heard it was spanish fork so of course wanted to go see it, who knows when i'd get to see the real one in DC! it was great, so many old men in their uniforms and just alot of people paying tribute to people serving our country. (plus, isn't utah pretty?). PLUS we (we being joslin and i, duh) went with ali and nathan and they are darling. and engaged. love them!
fun. (the band. not the noun. or the adjective.)
amy is in love with this band. particularly nate ruess, the lead singer. i don't blame her, you won't either once you look him up on google images. or you can just watch THIS music video to my favorite song of theirs. the concert was so great, i fell in love with the band, and had alot of fun with my roommateeee.
dessert party.
because we like good food and people coming over to eat it. these kinds of parties are alot better when sara gomez is here to help because she is a pro at baking delicious desserts but instead we just begged her for recipes the week before and made do. it turned out pretty well if i do say so MYSELF, and it's always fun to see all of our friends who we haven't seen for awhile. oh. and we had 72 people come. that was great. so just good to see all of our friendss. and eat key lime cupcakes and apple dumplings mmm my favorite. (good pictures aren't our specialty, that's where monica comes in. and you better believe i stole these pictures off of facebook from amy because i haven't gotten them all from her yet.)
family came to visit!
always a treat. they came down for conference time and mostly for my dad's 25th mission reunion anniversary. while they were there we had a birthday celebration for alek and joslin's birthday which was right around the time of the trip (convenient!). it was great meeting all of my dad's people from his mission, they of course told some great stories about my dad and how he'd visit thrift stores in germany every chance he could get, but also how he was a great friend and missionary. conference was lovely as always. my favorite talk is found HERE.

Fun times!
I just want to say one thing about Joslin's shirt in the mini golf (I think) picture. I can see how that shirt would be cute... BUT I thought you were wearing a black bra over your shirt. I get it now, I really do, but that was my first thought. Love you Jos! You too, Kaitlin.
