newport roadtripp

our team had a game in Newport Beach this past saturday, so we decided to road trip down to watch the game! we had a home match on friday that we all had to work, so....we left right afterwards! the match ended aroud 11:00 pm...and we didn't get on the road till about midnight. long night!

it was me, syd, elle, (ticket girls!) nick (ticket assistant), and jd!

we finally pulled in at 6:00 am. it was a longg drive.
i got the easy part and did the first 2 hours. thanks guys.
to keep us awake we tried to play the celebrity game.
turns out i don't know many celebrities.
we stayed at our uncle normans house, and we were only there for a few hours.
then left and went to the BEACH for some fun.

we had to stop at the grocery store to buy towels hah.

so it took us like 20 minutes to find a parking spot.
we ended up at balboa pier or something ha.
it was a fun beach!

these pictures are all BEFORE we decided to go swimming.
the swimming part was fun.
the part where we came IN from the ocean wasn't so good...or graceful.

there were huge waves right?
i shouted "elle! how do we come in?!"
we tried to come in and got completely caught in a wave and like attacked.
we came out COVERED in sand hah and like were spun around in the wave.
scary hah.
so we will work on the coming in part.

that evening was the match in newport.
it was fun to be able to just watch (and cheer, joe G was there after all) instead of working!

okay no i totally take that back, THIS IS MY FAVORITE.

by the way it took us like forever to find this parking spot in this parking garage and there were two cars of us so by the time we found another spot in here it took FOREVER and hah these boys were like loading up their car and we were waiting to take their spot and they were like taking their SWEET time. so annoying. and there was only a one way so cars kept coming in and they were all all getting so mad because they were stuck hah! goodness. silly boys.

we stopped at the beach again on the way up to coaches house.

ha on the way home we stopped and nick thought we should stop here and take a picture for our road trip. it was a good plan.
