did i mention i am in california?

so i got here on saturday. i was a bit sad to leave, it was just such a rushed trip! i feel like i was barely home at all, and i didn't get to say bye to alot of my friends! dang it. i sort of procrastinated the packing ordeal also, which isn't entirely a good idea when you are packing for 2.5 months. as many of you know, one of my, shall we say, problems, is that i always over pack. always. i like to think that when i bring 8 shirts to many that it will be better because i will have options and can switch in case i slip and fall in the mud and it gets dirty. it never really works out that way. i usually just have more than half of a suit case of clothes that i never touched.
in packing for this trip i really tried to not bring things that i don't wear, or things that i knew i wouldn't use. i felt pretty good about my packing abilities, i had one MONDO suitcase and then two smaller ones. now. i thought that was a good idea. UNTIL i got to the airport and after joslin lugging them in with me and then running out the door to go watch the rest of jami's match i had to weigh them in. did you know they can only be 50 lbs? see i knew that from previous experience. and remember how i had one big one and two small ones? well that big one was 59 lbs. and it was just clothes in there. not even like a text book or anything. so i am transfering things and i am thinking why in the WORLD did i not just bring two bigish bags instead of one that was huge and one medium one. the medium one was only like 27 lbs. but i just couldn't fit anything else into it! anyways the whole ordeal was quite embarassing. mostly because i couldn't bring all of my luggage at once, there was too much so i had to like take trips to bring it up to the counter. and then i had to pull off the side and move things around for like 10 minutes early. ah i hate that game. so after i checked my two bags i breathed a sigh of relief, i ended up with a pair of heels in my purse and some jeans in my pillow case BUT i made it there. whew.
